Connext and Malaya Foundation partner with Ayala Foundation to advance STEM learning and empower the next generation
April 17, 2026. In many underserved communities, access to quality digital education remains one of the biggest barriers to opportunity. Through a new partnership focused on closing this gap, Connext and Malaya Foundation are supporting Ayala Foundation in expanding access to technology-enabled learning for students in the Philippines.
Investing in education is one of the most direct ways a company can invest in the future — not just of a community, but of the global workforce. For Connext, a company built on the talent and potential of Filipino professionals, this belief is not abstract. It is the foundation of a long-term commitment to the communities where its people live, grow, and work.
To that end, Connext has contributed ₱3,000,000 Philippine Pesos to support the expansion of digital education access in underserved schools across the Philippines. This investment reflects a core conviction: that workforce readiness begins long before someone enters the job market, and that the companies positioned to shape the future of work have a responsibility to help build the conditions that make it possible.
The initiative will support the growth of the CENTEX Digital Education program, a program designed to improve Mathematics outcomes and digital literacy among elementary students in underserved schools. By combining teacher training, digital tools, and structured curriculum support, the program equips both educators and students with the resources needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
As part of this effort, two public schools in Davao, Philippines, currently being finalized, will receive support to establish digital learning laboratories, including the deployment of devices and comprehensive teacher training. The program will focus on students in Grades 4, 5, and 6, strengthening foundational skills in Mathematics while building confidence in digital environments.
Beyond financial support, Connext employees will play an active role on the ground, contributing to the setup of digital infrastructure and delivering financial literacy training to community partners. This hands-on involvement is designed to create a deeper, more sustainable impact at the local level.
“Digital education is a key driver of economic opportunity and workforce readiness,” said Tim Mobley, Director at Connext. “Through our partnership with Malaya Foundation and Ayala Foundation, we are supporting scalable solutions that expand access to technology, strengthen education systems, and empower communities.”

A portion of this contribution was funded through Connext Shares, Connext’s internal CSR initiative dedicated to giving back to local communities. Supported by voluntary employee donations and a percentage of loan interest from Connext’s employee lending program, Connext Shares has provided medical supplies, food, school supplies, hygiene kits, vaccines, and medicines to hospitals, schools, and NGOs across the Philippines. Its inclusion in this initiative reflects what makes this contribution meaningful beyond the number: it is, in part, a gift from Connext’s own people to the communities they call home.
