Job Description:
• Prepare patient charts before scheduled appointments, ensuring all necessary information is available for healthcare providers.
• Assist healthcare providers by scribing real-time information during appointments or wound rounds via audio or Zoom calls, accurately documenting clinical information and treatment plans.
• Take down real-time information during patient encounters, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation of pertinent clinical details.
• Provide support in patient registration and scheduling, ensuring all necessary administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and PHI requirements at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
• Experienced in scribing real-time information during the scheduled appointment or wound rounds via an audio or zoom call.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute (wpm).
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to accurately transcribe clinical information.
• Understanding of HIPAA and PHI requirements.
• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material.
• Ability to work accurately and attend to details while responding to multiple work demands.
• Ability and willingness to work with a diverse staff and patient population.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative team player.
• Handle multiple demands and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility with schedules and training.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with a high level of comprehension and accuracy.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Screening Criteria:
• At least one (1) year of experience using Electronic Medical Records and/or medical practice management systems.
