Payroll Associate 1 | 4620

Job Description:

• Processes end-to-end payroll for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy and on-time completion of each payroll cycle.

• Reviews and validates payroll inputs including timesheets, adjustments, and supporting documentation.

• Calculates wages, deductions, and payroll-related entries in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Ensures accurate posting of payroll and direct deposits.

• Serves as the primary point of contact for client payroll inquiries via email and phone.

• Communicates proactively with clients to clarify requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues before escalation.

• Coordinates with internal teams (HR, Benefits, Client Success) to address payroll-related concerns.

• Identifies discrepancies, performs root cause analysis, and resolves issues prior to payroll submission.

• Manages multiple client accounts and payroll schedules in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

• Maintains accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit-ready files.

• Demonstrates ownership by ensuring payroll cycles are completed with minimal errors and delays.

• Upholds service standards focused on responsiveness, accuracy, and client partnership.

Qualifications:

• Explains complex payroll or financial concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.

• Works effectively across multiple systems, platforms, and data sources.

• Manages competing priorities and meets strict deadlines without compromising quality.

• Demonstrates high accountability and ownership of deliverables.

• Maintains professionalism and composure when handling client concerns.

• Shows strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Adapts quickly to new tools, processes, and changing priorities.

• Demonstrates strong customer interaction and relationship management skills.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.

Screening Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a high-volume, transactional, or client-facing role (e.g., payroll, banking, financial services, shared services).

• Must have stable employment history.
