Patient Care Coordinators act as the first point of contact of patients. They make follow-up telephone calls to maintain accurate records and ensure that medical record account entries are up to date.
They assist patients in preferred communication channels such as calls, emails, messaging and walk through the terms of service, insurance coverage, and payment options. They also assist patients on their scheduled appointments or treatments and consultations.
Patient Care Coordinators have excellent interpersonal skills, active listening and customer-care with focus on quality, problem solving, and analyzing information, and documentation skills.
