In no particular order, these schools were chosen for producing graduates that excel in the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examinations, as well as for getting recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as Centers of Excellence in Nursing Education. 

1. University of the Philippines Manila – College of Nursing 

Location: Manila, National Capital Region 

Known for: Its renowned faculty, top-notch clinical and community training, and rigorous academic program focused on evidence-based practice. 

Licensure Examination Performance: Consistently ranks among the highest in the Philippines, with graduates excelling in the nursing board exams.

At the recently concluded May 2023 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination, SPUP came in third with a passing rate of 99.32% — a feat they’ve shown time and time again as a consistent top-performing school in the country’s nursing boards.

A top state university in the Southern Tagalog region, CSU began its operations in 1906 as the Indang Intermediate School and was given university status in 1998. 4. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila – College of Nursing 

Location: Manila, National Capital Region 

Known for: Offering high-quality and subsidized education (tuition is free for its undergraduate programs) to the residents of Manila  

Licensure Examination Performance: The College of Nursing consistently achieves commendable results in the Philippine nursing licensure examinations, with many of its graduates earning high passing rates. 

A public university situated in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila) or PLM’s College of Nursing is celebrated for its commitment to producing competent and compassionate nurses who are well-prepared for the demands of the healthcare industry. The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center – College of Nursing was established in 1959 and is a consistent top performer in the country’s nursing licensure examinations.

7. University of Santo Tomas – College of Nursing 

Location: Manila, National Capital Region

11. Angeles University Foundation – College of Nursing
