The Data Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that support informed business decisions. This role involves automating business processes, maintaining data integrity, creating reports and visualizations, and working closely with senior executives to provide accurate, data-driven recommendations.
Job Description
• Transform raw data into meaningful insights that can be used for business decision-making.
• Set up and maintain automated processes to support internal reporting and enable detailed analysis of existing data.
• Create data warehouse reports, design interactive dashboards, and develop visualizations to present data effectively. Produce and track KPIs to monitor performance.
• Extract, cleanse, modify, and analyze large datasets to ensure they are accurate and aligned with business goals.
• Automate month-end processes and financial reconciliations to streamline reporting and ensure timely submission.
• Research and analyze data variances compared to projections, prior periods, or other benchmarks to understand discrepancies and identify trends.
• Identify root causes of data integrity issues through the quality assurance process and work to resolve them, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reports.
• Work closely with C-suite executives to provide data-driven insights and assist in strategic decision-making.
• Maintain data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of data across the organization.
• Provide data and support to the Executive Office during audits, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, procedures, and methodologies for the assigned area of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams or comparable software
• Expert Level experience with SQL, Crystal Reports, Power Query, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau (or comparable software) to create dashboards and dataflows
• Ability to analyze data and calculations to find causes of errors and implement fixes
• Clear and coherent in both verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and troubleshoot discrepancies in data.
• Has a keen eye for detail is essential to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a remote or hybrid team and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
• Ability to identify problems and implement solutions to improve data accuracy, processes, and workflows.
