Contract Negotiator

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations with service providers to secure cost-effective and quality services.
• Evaluate proposals, review terms, and finalize agreements that align with company goals and budgets.
• Serve as the go-to expert for operational queries, providing quick and accurate solutions.
• Contact venues directly to gather logistical information necessary for sales efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address logistical challenges and ensure smooth event execution.
• Research and identify potential new venues for upcoming events.
• Build relationships with venue representatives, gather necessary information, and assess suitability.
• Work closely with the Director of New Business Development to negotiate terms and contracts with new venues to align with event needs and company standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong understanding of vendor management.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Strong understanding of negotiation techniques and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) to handle administrative tasks, proposals, and event documentation.
• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with service providers, venue representatives, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong time-management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
