Responsibilities
• Efficiently manage 40-50 procedure appointments weekly by answering phones, triaging calls, and forwarding them to appropriate staff members.
• Regularly check the scheduler voicemail and diligently work through the call back log to ensure timely follow-ups.
• Schedule procedure appointments, including Colonoscopies (Colos) and Esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD), with attention to detail and patient preferences.
• Contact patients who have scheduled appointments to verify their attendance and provide any necessary information or instructions.
• Review medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness, while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Provide clear and accurate procedure preparation instructions to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Utilize medical language and terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations to safeguard patient privacy and information.

• Clear and coherent in both oral and written, to effectively communicate with team members and patients.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic experience in scheduling patients’ appointments.
• Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work accurately and manage multiple work demands effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
