Responsibilities
- Update lists of requested information and supporting documents.
- Maintain and update the Accountant Scorecard and deliverables status.
- Prepare financial work papers and necessary adjustments.
- Prepare accurate financial statements.
- Verify that bank reconciliations tie with the General Ledger.
- Reconcile various accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Prepaid Accounts, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and more.
- Ensure accuracy in Payroll Liabilities and Taxes, Loans and Leases, and GE Tax liability reconciliation.
- Manage work in progress revisions and finalizations, including over/under billing.
- Complete the financial packet for internal and external review.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding their accounting needs and queries.
- Provide timely updates and responses to client inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Clear and coherent in both verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy ensuring that financial data is meticulously recorded and reconciled to prevent errors that could impact financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify discrepancies, and develop effective solutions to accounting challenges, enhancing overall financial integrity.
- Self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing their workload and meeting deadlines without requiring supervision, while also prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Must be flexible and committed to supporting the team during peak periods, understanding that additional hours may be necessary to meet critical deadlines and ensure smooth financial operations.
- Ability to adapt to a remote work environment and effectively manage time.
Screening Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible.
- Minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience, particularly in AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Must have a stable employment history.
