Responsibilities
- Resolve errors on tax returns with the help of a guide.
- “Sanity check” each return to ensure a high degree of accuracy.
- Triage returns accordingly, based on ability to diagnose if the problem is an engineering problem, a complex tax situation, or a user error.
- Leave detailed notes for other reviewers and CPAs to aid your teammates in getting returns finished.
- Correspond with the customer support team as needed when questions require follow-up.
- Add documentation where new issues are discovered.
- Join company projects not directly related to the tax filing process.
- QA the tax filing experience both from the user perspective and the final product.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to group goals and delivering accurate results.
- Familiarity with personal tax filing processes in the United States to assist clients in tax preparation and compliance.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and a strict adherence to established financial processes and procedures.
- Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
Screening Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in finance in a professional capacity (bookkeeping, accounting, etc.)
- Must have a stable employment history.
