CONNEXT CARES PROGRAM
Nurturing Community Resilience
A key differentiator here at Connext is the Connext Cares program, our way of giving back to the community and paying it forward through compassion and support.
Rooted in President Tim Mobley’s vision, this initiative was conceived on June 8, 2019, with the primary aim of providing robust financial support to Connext employees during challenging times.
Program Overview and Mission
Connext Cares operates on two projects, namely Connext Cares and Connext Shares. The former concentrates on grants and loans within the Connext community, while the latter, Connext Shares, extends its benevolent reach through diverse outreach programs.
Key Goals and Objectives
- Extend financial assistance to the Connext community during challenging periods. Internal coordinators manage the entire process, handling loan applications and grant assessments efficiently. Eligibility for loans is extended to all regular Connext employees in good standing. Grant beneficiaries are selected based on qualifying cases, supported by proper documentation.
- Foster voluntary donations and pledges within the group to sustain financial assistance programs.
Program Achievements
As of November 2023, Connext Cares has made substantial strides:
- Loans: 136 applications processed (estimated cost: Php 1.3mil+)
- Grants: 115 cases approved (estimated cost: Php 1million)
Connext Shares, the outreach arm, has successfully executed projects ranging from medical center lunch deliveries to typhoon relief operations.
- Distribution of groceries for the kids of Duyan ni Maria.
- Delivery of 596 lunch boxes to various medical centers.
- Typhoon Odette relief operation in Tagbilaran and Leyte.
- Food donation for 225 frontliners at Greencity Medical Center.
- Christmas package for 100 Indigenous Individuals (Aeta Na!).
- Donation of 300 doses of Moderna Vaccines to Andres Soriano Foundation.
- “Box for my Future” – school supplies for students of Monicayo Integrated School.
- Planting 300 Guyabano Seedlings at Sta. Rita Eco Park.
- “Box for my Future” year 2 – school supplies for students of Monicayo Integrated School.
Fundraising and Allocation
Funds are raised through voluntary donations from the Connext community, providing employees control over their contributions. With a minimum donation of 50 pesos and automatic salary deductions, the program ensures a steady stream of contributions. These funds are judiciously allocated to both loan disbursements and grants.
In essence, the Connext Cares program epitomizes a holistic approach to community support. By seamlessly blending financial assistance with impactful outreach initiatives, Connext not only invests in its employees’ well-being but also fortifies the bonds that define the Connext community.
