Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports for Central Pacific Financial Corp. and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of reports and filings and the Company’s compliance with all accounting and financial reporting policies, generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), and banking regulatory requirements.
  • Keeps abreast of all changes in accounting and reporting requirements and facilitates changes in policies and procedures as needed to maintain compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze external financial and regulatory reports (10-Q/10-K, Earnings Release, Call Report, FR-2644, FR-Y9C, FR-Y9LP) for the FDIC, FRB, DFI, and SEC.
  • Collect institutional data and prepare financial reports and surveys to other federal and state government agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports to management.
  • Perform day-to-day general accounting and financial reporting functions and month-end close processes for CPF, CPB and affiliated entities.
  • Prepare accounting entries, maintain accounting records, perform monthly closing accrual calculations, prepare consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, and analyze financial results to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement processes that streamline and automate tasks to create efficiencies.
  • Assist with software conversions and implementation. Participate in special projects in support of the Company’s strategic initiatives to improve performance and enhance shareholder value.
  • Assist with the quarterly reviews, annual financial statement and benefit plan audits, and periodic examinations by auditors and regulators.
  • Prepare and update proper documentation and internal procedures.
  • Perform variance analysis, prepare account reconciliations, and assist with research and resolution of accounting issues.
  • Ensure knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, and the company’s policies and procedures affecting job duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Work experience in US banking is preferred.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in financial reporting and accounting for US publicly listed companies.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Must have stable employment history
