Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Lead the review and reconciliation of financial records for new clients.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies and implement corrective measures to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders during transitions to new accounting software systems.
  • Assist in data migration, configuration, and testing to ensure a smooth implementation process.
  • Evaluate existing accounting processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to team members encountering complex accounting issues.
  • Offer solutions, troubleshoot problems, and provide training or mentorship as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning efforts.
  • Provide assistance in other areas as required by the team or management.
  • Provide training and other support to colleagues to enhance their accounting knowledge and skills.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience doing general accounting such as producing financial statements, and account reconciliations.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible.
  • Must have a stable employment history.
