Responsibilities
- Assist senior auditors/accountants in all phases of the audit engagement lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment, testing procedures, and reporting.
- Perform audit procedures such as vouching transactions, analytical procedures, and internal control testing.
- Prepare working papers to document audit findings and support the audit opinion.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Identify and communicate potential audit risks and control weaknesses to the engagement team.
- Update audit schedules and perform other technical accounting tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging accounting issues.
- Participate in audit fieldwork and interact effectively with clients at all levels.
- Manage time effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with audit software (e.g., ACL, CaseWare) a plus.
Screening Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in auditing or a related field (e.g., internal audit, public accounting internship).
- Must have a stable employment history.
