Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior auditors/accountants in all phases of the audit engagement lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment, testing procedures, and reporting.
  • Perform audit procedures such as vouching transactions, analytical procedures, and internal control testing.
  • Prepare working papers to document audit findings and support the audit opinion.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Identify and communicate potential audit risks and control weaknesses to the engagement team.
  • Update audit schedules and perform other technical accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging accounting issues.
  • Participate in audit fieldwork and interact effectively with clients at all levels.
  • Manage time effectively and meet deadlines consistently.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with audit software (e.g., ACL, CaseWare) a plus.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in auditing or a related field (e.g., internal audit, public accounting internship).
  • Must have a stable employment history.
