Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support for technical issues related to Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
  • Mange client backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Manage client server and workstation patching through both automation and manual intervention.
  • Manager services for Microsoft-related technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Office applications.
  • Offer technical services and support at the network level, encompassing WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Implement and support remote access solutions, such as VPN and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation.
  • Communicate with clients as needed, keeping them informed about incident progress and upcoming change requests or agreed-upon outages.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of technology products and services relevant to our client base, covering hardware, software, and Nucleus services.
  • Actively participate in routine meetings with the support teams.
  • Identify client trends and escalate issues as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of backup solutions, including Veeam, Azure, and Datto.
  • Proficient in Microsoft-related technologies, such as Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Office.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills, including telephony, active listening, and customer care for providing exceptional client support.
  • Ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Understanding of all key IT services provided by the organization to support clients effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes effectively.
  • Knowledge with “Veeam” software/application.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as IT Support Specialist or a similar role including working with Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
  • Must have a stable employment history.
  • Must have a “Veeam” software/application experience
