Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role will contribute to development and documentation of accounting policies while actively participating in audits, both internal and external, by offering essential information.

Responsibilities

  • Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions to maintain the accuracy of accounting information.
  • Compile and analyze account information to prepare and record entries related to assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance subsidiary accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements to summarize the organization’s financial status.
  • Monitor and provide support for taxation requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and adherence of accounting policies, creating corresponding documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with auditors during external and internal audits, providing necessary information and assistance.
  • Undertake special duties and projects as assigned to support the overall financial goals of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Amenable to work with deadlines and without close supervision.
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset ability to analyze and interpret data, apply mathematical concepts to solve complex problems.
  • Amenable to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and superb organizational skills.
  • Can converse effectively in English, with occasional difficulty expressing more complex thoughts and ideas clearly and coherently.
  • Ability to understand current procedures and identify opportunities for improvements in the process and in the documentation.
  • Proven ability to understand and efficiently utilize ERP systems to maximize processing output daily.
  • Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication to be able to collaborate with cross- functional teams.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal relations, ability to work closely with others, ability to cooperate with others in a manner that recognizes the importance of teamwork in achieving company goals.
  • Advance Microsoft Excel to perform complex data analysis efficiently.

Screening Criteria

  • MUST HAVE STABLE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
