Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, contributing to informed business decisions. The role’s responsibilities will encompass building custom reports for our clients, aiding in backend development, and efficiently managing databases within a data cloud environment, particularly Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize reports tailored to client requirements, utilizing diverse data sources.
• Ensure accuracy and relevance in presented data to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Work closely with the backend development team to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Contribute insights and requirements for backend systems to support efficient data analysis.
• Manage databases within a state-of-the-art data cloud environment (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Ensure the security, integrity, and seamless operation of databases for optimal performance.
• Execute ad-hoc SQL queries for on-the-fly data extraction and analysis.
• Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools for ad-hoc queries and real-time insights.
• Leverage Microsoft PowerBI and other BI tools to create interactive dashboards and visually compelling reports.
• Develop and maintain BI tool models for ongoing data analysis.
• Perform data consolidation to provide a unified and comprehensive view for strategic analysis.
• Identify opportunities for data integration to enhance overall business intelligence.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL querying for data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools to analyze and present financial data effectively.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and concatenate for comprehensive data analysis and reporting.
• Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI for developing interactive and visually compelling dashboards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms for effective database management.

Screening Criteria

• MUST HAVE STABLE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role.
