Senior Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to make critical financial decisions and develop strategies to enhance the company’s financial health.
  • Work closely with external CPA firms and leverage their expertise and resources to optimize financial processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial documents, including business reports, financial forecasts, and statements, to provide a clear view of the company’s financial position.
  • Supervise a team responsible for producing accurate financial reports and budgets.
  • Monitor the company’s financial reports and identify opportunities to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve profitability.
  • Stay up to date on the financial market, industry trends, and economic developments to identify opportunities for profit maximization and new expansion areas.
  • Ensure the company complies with all financial and accounting regulations, meeting legal requirements, and maintaining a strong financial standing.
  • Implement best practices in financial management to safeguard the company’s financial integrity.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, set strategic financial goals, and make critical decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize financial processes, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, external partners, and presenting financial information to senior management.
  • Strong understanding of the specific industry in which the company operates.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle), Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software used in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant financial and accounting regulations.
  • The ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity in financial management and reporting.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The capacity to adapt to changes in the financial landscape, industry trends, and new technologies.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management,
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management or leadership experience handling finance or accountants.
