Closing Analyst

The Closing Analyst is responsible with ensuring the accuracy and compliance of pre-close files. This role involves conducting quality review checks on various aspects, including TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures), payoffs, administrative accuracy, timeline adherence, and necessary affidavits. The Closing Analyst ensures that all closing documentation is complete and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review all loan documents to ensure compliance with TRID regulations, including accurate disclosure of loan terms and fees.
  • Verify that borrowers receive the necessary disclosures in a timely manner.
  • Examine payoffs from previous lenders to confirm the accuracy of the loan payoff amounts.
  • Ensure that all prior liens and debts are properly settled during the closing process.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of all administrative documentation related to the closing, including forms and contracts.
  • Verify the correctness of all data and information provided in these documents.
  • Monitor the closing timeline to ensure that all tasks are completed within the specified timeframes.
  • Communicate with relevant parties to expedite the closing process as needed.
  • Identify and request any necessary affidavits or legal documents required for the closing.
  • Ensure that all required affidavits are accurate and complete.

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer literacy skills with strong proficiency in Excel and G Suite.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending, real estate transaction, and related regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial documents, payoffs, and administrative accuracy to perform quality review checks effectively.
  • Clear and coherent communication skills to interact effectively with borrowers, lenders, and other parties involved in the closing process.
  • Strong analytical skills to accurately review and interpret financial documents.
  • Keen eye for detail to review and ensure the accuracy of various documents, calculations, and documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Screening Criteria

  • High School graduate or College level
  • At least one (1) year of experience in data entry role and experience in voice customer service
  • At least two (2) years of experience in customer service with background in handling phone calls and emails.
