Team Leader

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of the team. The role’s responsibilities will encompass driving productivity, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the team’s performance including but not limited to productivity, quality, and attendance.
  • Conduct regular audits of the team members to ensure adherence to workflows and overall client success.
  • Identify opportunities that are related to performance deficiencies both on an individual level and team level.
  • Ensure SOPs are implemented through strict enforcement.
  • Set clear and proper objectives to team members to ensure that the team’s goals are met.
  • Liaise necessary information to both the management and team members.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions with team members to support them in achieving their performance and career goals.
  • Work with the operations manager by establishing effective communication to ensure that roadblocks and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Comply with operational objectives to contribute to the success of the organization in meeting the needs of its clients and team members.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their performance and facilitate career growth.
  • Knowledgeable with medical billing practices and processes, with the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and guidelines, along with a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of protected health information (PHI).
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite tools such as Google Drive and Sheets for collaborative document management and data analysis.
  • Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information, instructions, and feedback in a clear and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to both internal team members and external clients.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, analyze complex information, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with the capacity to conduct thorough research to resolve challenges and optimize processes.
  • Team Leader must have experience handling A/R and denied claims follow-ups.

Screening Criteria

  • MUST HAVE STABLE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management and medical billing claims
  • At least two (2) years of leadership experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
