IT Support Specialist

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for daily monitoring of client environments, log files, and the installation of releases/patches. This role will be at the forefront of ensuring smooth operation of our clients’ systems, providing expert support, and implementing solution to meet evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily monitoring of client environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems.
  • Analyze log files to identify system issues, errors, and performance bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Install and configure software releases, patches, and updates to maintain system security and integrity.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows OS environments to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilize Oracle DB expertise to perform database administration tasks, such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database monitoring.
  • Leverage Oracle Analytics experience to support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, including administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and task scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and methodologies for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least two (2) to five (5) years of experience in application monitoring and support.
  • Must have a stable employment history.
