Healthcare Support Specialist 3

Responsibilities

  • Helps in preparing the chart before the patient’s visit
  • Assists in scribing ; review notes and extract pertinent clinical information
  • Takes down real-time information during the scheduled appointment or wound rounds via an audio or zoom call
  • Provides support in patient registration and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 40 wpm
  • Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material. Understanding of HIPAA and PHI requirements.
  • Ability to scribe real-time information during the scheduled appointment or wound rounds via an audio or zoom call
  • Has In-depth background with medical terminologies
  • Excellent in English both oral and written is a must.
  • Good comprehension skills
  • Has a high level of attention to detail and hold the notion of confidentiality in the highest regard.
  • A problem-solver and team player.
  • Flexible with the schedules and training (holidays & weekends)
  • Experience in handling multiple demands
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work accurately and attend to details while responding to multiple work demands.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a diverse staff and patients.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and EMR systems required

Screening Criteria

  • MUST HAVE STABLE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.
  • Background in wound care and medical terms
  • Experienced in scribing real-time information during the scheduled appointment or wound rounds via an audio or zoom call
  • One (1) year of experience using Electronic Medical Records and/or medical practice management systems
